RLCNH reorganizes, elects new leadership team
CONCORD, NH — The Republican Liberty Caucus of New Hampshire (RLCNH) recently held its annual meeting in Concord, NH to elect new officers and board members. The meeting was also held to reorganize the RLCNH in order to prepare to assist liberty-conservative Republicans throughout the state in next year’s elections.
Jim Forsythe, a retired Air Force officer and former candidate for the U.S. House of Representatives, was elected to lead the RLCNH for 2009-2010. Said Forsythe, “I’m excited to have this opportunity to lead the Republican Liberty Caucus of New Hampshire. We are uniquely poised to help the New Hampshire Republican Party reassert its traditional political philosophy as well as find its voice as the defender of the people’s liberty.”
Also elected at the annual meeting were attorney Tim Condon as vice-chairman, graphic artist Carolyn McKinney as Secretary, and businessman Bob Hull as treasurer. Non-officer board members elected include Joseph Frazier from Canaan, Paul Mirski from Enfield, Chris Lawless from Hopkinton, Representative Paul Ingbretson from Pike and former RLCNH chairman Dan McGuire from Epsom.
“Much damage has been done to New Hampshire in the past several years by a governor and legislators who pass unnecessary laws, spend too much, and then raise taxes to cover their irresponsible spending,” continued Forsythe. “We know that the traditional New Hampshire ideals of liberty and personal responsibility are powerful and contagious. By recruiting and supporting pro-liberty Republican candidates who believe in low taxes, small government, personal responsibility, and legislative restraint, we intend to give voters the opportunity to restore the Live Free or Die philosophy in the legislature.”
The RLCNH supports pro-liberty Republican candidates in state races with both money and volunteers, added Forsythe. The organization works together with the parallel N.H. Republican Liberty Political Action Committee that reviews and supports candidates for state office who support the Liberty Caucus ideals and aims.
