BARRINGTON — Eight seats in the state Legislature are up for grabs in District 3, which is comprised of Barrington, Farmington, Middleton, Milton, New Durham and Strafford. Eight Republicans and seven Democrats are vying for the spots.

....

“Jim” Forsythe, R-Strafford, 39, a Strafford resident of five years, works as an aerospace engineer, and he is making his first run at the Legislature. He is currently involved with the Strafford Taxpayers Coalition and the Energy Committee.

Forsythe believes in limited government, low taxes, local control and protecting personal freedoms. He also puts education on a pedestal, and if elected, he will back legislature for school choice, which would give parents a tax credit so they have the freedom to send their children to private schools or alternative public schools.
