Jim Forsythe’s diverse experiences in military, business, and academics have instilled in him a deep love of this country, a fierce passion to defend and renew the principles for which it stands, and the leadership and knowledge to get it done. He joined the military as an Air Force KC-135 pilot after graduating from Cornell University in 1990. As an aircraft commander, he flew combat support missions for operations in Bosnia, Iraq, and Somalia.  He then received his PhD in Aerospace Engineering and became and Associate Profess at the Air Force Academy.  He left active duty in 2003 to come to New Hampshire to be close to family.  He’s been active in his community since coming to Strafford, having served as the local Cub Scout leader, starting a taxpayers coalition, coaching soccer, and serving as the town chair of the GOP.  His wife, Sue, homeschools their two children, Kate and Connor.
