Dave is a charter member of the Republican National Committee (RNC), a two-time winner of the Ronald Reagan Medal, and has been won a number of Republican NH business awards over the past few years.

Dr. David Murotake is the owner and CEO of a start-up high tech business, SCA Technica, Inc. A Nashua resident since 1982, he is a graduate of MIT’s Engineering School and the Sloan School of Management. An Army Veteran, he served as a Combat Engineer and Army Security Agency (ASA) officer from 1977- 1982. As an Army officer, he lived in Germany for almost five years, and worked closely with NATO units during his tour of duty. He enjoys working with colleagues from other nations. Dr. Murotake has over 35 years of defense and commercial experience as a computer scientist, communications engineer, system architect, program manager, business developer and technology strategist with RCA, GE, Lockheed Sanders and Mercury Computer Systems. He started his own Nashua based Veteran-owned, 8A Small Disadvantaged Business in 2002, winning a number of US and international contracts including seven Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) awards. Dr. Murotake has founded and chaired a number of international working groups and serves on the Board of Directors of the SDR Forum, a nonprofit wireless industry association. As a business owner with graduate training in fiscal control of nonprofit organizations, he helped to review the finances of the SDR Forum and helped the organization improve its financial control and accountability. Considered one of the “fathers” of modern software defined radio technology, the SDR Forum awarded him a Lifetime Achievement Award in 2006. A past US diplomat to the International Telecommunications Union (a UN organization), Dr. Murotake continues to help develop global standards for next-generation wireless networks as a member of the IEEE Standards Association (IEEE-SA).
Dave has been married for over 28 years to his wife Thomacine (“Tommie”). He and Tommie raised four children (Amanda, Susan, Allen and Barbara) all of whom attended public and parochial schools in Nashua. Dave has extensive volunteer experience. He is a past Cub Scout Committee Chair, a Boy Scout Assistant Scoutmaster and a Girl Scout Assistant Troop Leader. A member of the Civil Air Patrol’s Nashua Squadron, he serves in multiple roles including emergency services, air/ground search and rescue and the Chaplains Service. He is a Past Grand Knight of Knights of Columbus Council 12311. A member of St. Joseph the Worker Parish since 1982, he is a Eucharistic Minister and a Catechist, teaching the Gospel to the children of his parish for over ten years. He ran a registered, part-time Home School for one of his children, and tutored Nashua High School students in math as a registered volunteer.

An avid target shooter and ammo reloader, he belongs to the Nashua Fish and Game Association and is a Life Member of the National Rifle Association (NRA). He is also a member of the Appalachian Mountain Club and enjoys hiking.
