Healthy economic and non-profit sectors will better meet the needs of the people than will a centralized bureaucratic "command and control" regime.

I am running for the State Representative position in Hillsborough 7, representing Goffstown and Weare. I have been involved in grass-roots activism for the last twenty years and now feel compelled to run for office due to my concern for the state’s unhealthy direction under current Democratic leadership.

I fear Concord is being turned into Washington, D.C. North. The culture of tax and spend combined with borrow and spend is toxic to our long-term well-being. Instead we must follow a path of low taxes plus responsible and effective spending within proper Constitutional restraints. Healthy economic and non-profit sectors will better meet the needs of the people than will a centralized bureaucratic “command and control” regime.

I bring the following experience to this task.

* Member and two years service on the board of directors of the New Hampshire Liberty Alliance.
* Member of the Coalition of New Hampshire Tax Payers
* Member of the Gun-Owners of NH
* Member of Downsize D.C. (a national small government organization)
* Member of C.A.T.S (Citizens for an Alternate Tax System)

In addition to the above grass-roots efforts I have also. . .

* Served on Governor Benson’s Efficiency Task Force
* Testified before the NH House and Senate on pending legislation
* Engaged in public policy research and written position papers on economic and personal rights issues
* Served as a member of Goffstown’s Budget Committee
* Presently serving as a Trustee of the Trust Funds

After graduating from high school in Michigan, I served in the USAF and then used my GI Bill benefits to major in Philosophy and History in college. I’ve been employed in book store sales and management; restaurant service and management; advertising sales, as a truck driver, farm hand and laborer. This mix of blue and white collar experience has been an asset to me in understanding the diverse sides of many public policy issues. I firmly believe that the future of a healthy New Hampshire lies with personal liberty, personal responsibility and a free market economy.
