Anne serves on the Executive Committee for the Merrimack County Republicans as Vice Chair. Ms. Copp actively participates in community and civic
affairs. She is a member of the Andover Lions Club where she is involved in many charitable events. Recently, Anne was named a Fellow of the Vesta Roy Excellence in Public Service Series. In 2006 she ran a campaign for NH State Representative her first attempt at public office. She is so upset at the way Concord has taken liberties away from it’s citizens she is running again in 2008. Her campaign is in honor of those who serve the people of this great state. They need all of the help they can get to keep New Hampshire, NH! Anne is a dedicated public servant and prefers to be known as a statesman not a politician.
Anne’s positions:
In the last two years, state spending has increased by 17.5%, over 22 taxes and fees have been increased and still New Hampshire is facing a $100 million deficit. Legislators in Concord then had to borrow money to cover their deficit. Now, not only are we paying higher taxes and fees, our children will be paying for their spending spree for years to come. This is wrong! We will fight to rein in spending, eliminate our state deficit and keep our state income tax and sales tax-free.
Rein in state spending:
NH’s budget increase of 17.5% is unacceptable. We must rein in spending now so that we can continue our economic advantage of no sales or income tax.
No new Taxes, no Tax increases:
Concord must stop using our citizens as a personal ATM. It is time to reduce spending and hold the line on taxes and fees. It is the responsibility of every citizen to elect dependable caretakers of OUR citizens’ tax dollars; your representatives in Concord.
Pro-parental notification:
As a parent, I am ashamed that NH is the first state in the nation to reverse its parental notification law. Parents have every right to know if their minor daughter is seeking an abortion and we will fight to put a parental notification law back on the books.
Pro-second amendment:
I believe that our Second Amendment rights to keep and bear arms are not negotiable and will work to protect those rights as your state representative.
